I have to say, this week was a pretty good week for me mentally. Although Kevin and I work from home regularly, we have found ourselves doing more things as a family and spending more quality time together. We have been taking a lot of long walks, watching more shows together, and spending time doing new things with Wyatt. I have also spent a lot more time connecting with my family on a day-to-day basis and have been experimenting with new recipes. I like to find the silver lining in every situation and I feel like with the current state of affairs, it has allowed me to really reflect on what is most important in life. If any of you are going through a tough time with a loss of a job, or struggling with finances, health, or anything else, I want you to know you are in my prayers and I am thinking about you. I know this crazy time is not easy for everyone, and trust me I have had my fair share of bad days, but I encourage you to find your silver lining. I wanted to keep today’s post light and fun so I thought I would share 10 things about myself that you may not know. I hope you enjoy it and have a great weekend! xo
1. I went to college at the University of Arizona and then moved to San Francisco after. I lived in SF for 5 years and that is where I met Kevin, my husband.
2. In high school I was very into sports and activities. I ran track, played softball and volleyball, was a cheerleader, and the president of a social club on campus.
3. When I lived in San Francisco I worked for Banana Republic corporate and was on the merchandizing team for accessories. It was a really fun job!
4. I am extremely claustrophobic and will not take elevators unless absolutely necessary. When Kevin and I went to Dubai a few years ago we went to the top of the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world) and I almost fainted. I’m still not sure how he got me to do it!
5. I absolutely loved being pregnant and would have 5 kids. Realistically I think we will have 2-3 because I want to be able to live the lifestyle that I want and travel as a family. Also living in Southern California is expensive!!
6. Growing up I was OBSESSED with NSYNC. My parents took me and my bff to our first concert and we made these crazy bejeweled outfits. Justin was my fav, duh!
7. I am a pretty spontaneous person. The other night Kevin and I joked about selling our house, buying a van, and travel the world for a year. If he really wanted to do it, I probably would.
8. I have a huge fear of grasshoppers. I think I was traumatized as a child or something, but their long legs really freak me out.
9. I am really competitive when it comes to playing games
10. If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be pizza. We eat it a minimum of one time/week
