This post was really fun yet emotional to put together because I got to reminisce on this past year. 2017 was by far the best year of my life so far. If you have been following me for a while you know that a lot happened this year. Here are three highlights that sum up my year:
1. I got married! On May 5, 2017 Kevin and I got married in front of 130 friends and family. The ceremony and reception was held at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego. The whole wedding took place outside in a beautiful garden setting and since my new last name was going to be Weatherall, we decided to have theme around the weather. You will notice the engraved wind vane escort cards and backdrop with the seating assignment. It was truly the most magical day of my life and I feel so blessed to get to spend the rest of my life with my soul mate.
2. We went on a honeymoon! Right after our wedding Kevin and I left for our honeymoon. We flew straight to New York for a couple nights and then we flew to the Maldives, which was the most beautiful place I have ever been! We stayed in an over water bungalow and spent the week relaxing in paradise. It was a trip of a lifetime and something that I will always remember!
3. We bought our first home! After we got back from our honeymoon, Kevin and I started looking at houses and in October we found the one! It was definitely a process and stressful at times, but overall it was such a rewarding experience and it is so much fun having a space to call our own. My favorite part about being a homeowner has been designing each space exactly how we want it! I can’t wait to share more home decor with you guys in 2018!
