Wyatt turns 20 months today and it has been a while since I have shared an update with you girls! I am excited to fill you in on his recent milestones, his favorite activities, and what toys he is loving. Milestones
Over the past few months Wyatt has become very vocal and his vocabulary has been growing! He is starting to put more than one word together and tries to tell me what he wants. His current favorite word is “truck.” Any time we are out and about he points to every truck on the road and gets really excited when the garage truck comes every Friday. He has become really good with independent play and can entertain himself for a while, which has been really nice so I can get things done while he is playing. Wyatt has also become really good with commands. If I tell him to do something he is really good about listening and doing it. For example, I’ll say “go put this in the trash for mommy” and he will run over to the trash and throw it away. There are probably some other things that I am missing, but overall he is really starting to get a little personality and he is the most loving and fun little guy! He is extremely active and loves to run around and is very curious. This has definitely been the most fun age so far!
Favorite activities
We just signed Wyatt up for swimming lessons which I am really excited about because he loves the water! There is also a toddler soccer group that we are looking into starting this Spring. I think it is great to get him around other kids and its nice for him to be outside and get some of his energy out! Wyatt loves to be outside as much as possible and loves to explore. Since we live close to the beach we try to take him often. He loves to play with his sand toys and put his feet in the water.
Favorite toys for independent play
Below are some of Wyatt’s current favorite toys that can all be purchased from buybuyBABY. As you can see, there is a trend with trucks. He can’t get enough of them! He also loves riding in his car around the block and didn’t want to get out of this wagon while we were in the store. This chalk would be a great thing to add to an Easter basket. He loves being outside and drawing on the sidewalk. Lastly, we love to read books together before bedtime and I shared a few favorites below!
