I have received a lot of questions from you guys about our babymoon at Ojai Valley Inn and I am excited to share all the details of our trip with you today! If you are not familiar with Ojai, it is a small town in Ventura County, just East of Santa Barbara. This was Kevin’s and my first time visiting and let me tell you, we will definitely be going back!
Ojai Valley Inn is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at. As you can see from the photos, the property grounds are stunning and you are surrounded by mountains and greenery. The property is also maintained to perfection, which I really appreciated. One fun fact to mention is that the hotel is pet friendly! We contemplated bringing Layla along, but decided to leave her at home with grandma and grandpa 🙂 This property would be a dog’s dream though, with so much room to run around and play!
There are fire pits on the property where you can post up and have a cocktail or even after dinner s’mores! At nighttime it looks even more beautiful!
We didn’t spend a ton of time in our room because there was so much to do outside, but look how beautiful the rooms are! We used the fireplace every night and I definitely took advantage of the large bathtub and bath salts that were in the room! Each room is also equipped with an iPad where you can order room service and make reservations, which is very convenient!
My favorite part of our trip was relaxing by the pool. The pool area is breathtaking and the service was very impressive. The staff came around with smoothie samples and frozen grapes, which I thought was a nice little touch. They also offered to help set up our chairs and even have little cabanas where you can post up for the day. Each day we ordered lunch and drinks by the pool and everything was delicious!
Aside from the pool, there are also a ton of other activities at the hotel, including Camp Oak, for kids! You can see a full list of activities here on their website. We loved that there were bikes on property and rode them around everyday to the different restaurants and to the pool. The hotel also has an amazing spa and golf course, which we totally took advantage of!

On the property there are several different restaurants to chose from. One of the highlights from the trip was eating dinner at Olivella, their finest restaurant, that has a California inspired cuisine with Italian influences. We sat outside on the patio with this insane view and it was one of the best meals we have had! I highly recommend trying one of the pasta dishes!
Overall, I could not say enough great things about Ojai Valley Inn! The service was impeccable, the staff was very friendly, and there are so many different accommodations and activities! Whether you plan to go with a significant other, friends, or as a family, there is something for everyone! Kevin and I both did not want to leave, but we made a deal that we would try to go back once a year, especially since it’s only a 4 hour drive from San Diego!
