I can’t believe we are just a few days away from Christmas! Every year I wait until the last minute to get my shopping done, but this year I decided I wasn’t going to procrastinate and I got a lot of it done early (thank god for online shopping and free shipping)! I still have a few last minute things to grab this week and if you are in the same boat, make sure to check out all my gift guides in the main menu of my blog. This week’s guides are all about stocking stuffers because if you are like me, you fill the stockings at the very last minute 😉
I wanted to share my top 5 holiday entertaining tips as well as some decor ideas with you guys so that hosting guests can be as stress free as possible!
Tip #1: Prep as much as you can ahead of time. This way you can enjoy hanging out with your guests and you won’t have to stress about cooking or cleaning.
Tip #2: Make a delicious cocktail. Here are some festive recipes that I found on Pinterest. Going back to my first tip, these can be prepped in advance!
Tip #3: Create a nice ambiance. I like to light holiday scented candles (this candle in the “fireside” sent my absolute fav) and put on a cozy fire.
Tip #4: Pick up flowers from Trader Joes and make your own arrangements. They have the best flowers and they are so cheap! I made the arrangements on my dining table using white roses, holly, and a few stems of pine needles. I think the total for everything was under $15!
Tip #5: Put out some board games to keep everyone entertained. Who doesn’t like sipping on cocktails and playing games?! Another fun idea is playing White Elephant where everyone brings a wrapped gift to exchange. My family does this every year and it is so much fun!
I hope you guys enjoy my tips and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday! I linked this very affordable dress (that also comes in many other colors) and all my accessories below. There is also a section where you can shop my home decor!
xoxo
