One of the most asked questions that I receive from you mamas is what car seat we are using now that Wyatt is a little older. We transitioned him out of his infant seat around 10 months and after doing a ton of research and asking for suggestions from other mamas, we ended up with the Maxi-Cosi Pria 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat, purchased from buybuyBABY. We have absolutely loved it so far and I can’t recommend it enough. Here are some of the features that sold me on it:
- extra soft and plush cushions make the seat extremely comfortable
- there are 2 cup holders
- he can grow into it and it can hold children up to 100 lbs in booster mode
- you can adjust the harness and straps
- use rear-facing, forward-facing, and as a booster
- 3 position recline seat
- Goell side impact protection is built into the headrest to cushion an impact, and protect your child around the head
- machine washable
We decided to go with the black because it matches the interior of our car, but you can purchase it in 6 different colors. Another feature that I really like is how easy it is to take in an out of the car. We often have to switch it from one car to another and it is super simple and takes only a few seconds. Below I am going to share a few other car favorites that we use on a daily basis!
Another item that we recently purchased was the Britax 2-Pack EZ-Cling Window Shades. I was on the hunt for something to keep the sun from beating down on Wyatt as we were driving and these seemed like a great option! We took a pretty long road trip a couple weeks ago and I wanted to make sure that he was shaded and that he could sleep better in the car. I was really impressed with these and I love how they easily stick to your window and can go on and come off very easily. You can adjust them so that they are in the correct position to block out the sun.
Lastly, a product that we have used from the very begging is this Skip*Hop Style Driven Backseat Mirror in Tonal Chevron. This allows me to easily see Wyatt from my rear view mirror and gives me peace of mind that he is doing ok. Now that he is older he absolutely loves to look at himself and make funny faces and noises. The mirror easily velcros around the headrest and can be moved around to the right position.
