I am very excited about today’s post because I have been working on an exciting project with Framebridge over the last month! If you are not familiar with Framebridge, they make it easy and affordable to custom frame your photos or art. All you need to do is upload your photos to their site, or send in your artwork, and they frame it and deliver it to your door ready to hang with all the hardware included!
I first used Framebridge a couple years ago to create a wedding gallery wall for our master bedroom. I had a very positive experience, so when it came time for this project there was no question who I was going to use. Framebridge also offers design services and can help recommend specific frames and layouts. I decided to work with a designer for this project because the space is so large and I wasn’t sure what the best layout would be. There is a $199 fee ($39 goes towards your custom framing), but in my opinion it is 100% worth the money! Here is a step by step of the process when working with a member of their design team:
-
The designer will ask you to send over photos of your space, along with the measurements, and fill out a Project Questionnaire. As part of the questionnaire I mentioned that I wanted all the photos to be black and white and that I wanted black frames. If you aren’t sure about what you want they can give you options. I also sent over an inspiration image that I found on their Instagram.
-
After sending everything over, it took the designer a couple days to get back to me with my first edit (you get two). I was pretty clear about what I wanted so I did not need any revisions.
-
Once I approved the design my order was shipped off and arrived to my doorstep just a few days later. All of my frames came packaged very nicely and they had all the hardware on them ready to hang, which makes life so much easier! When you work with a designer they also send you a hanging guide so you know how to space everything.
It was that simple! Like I mentioned before, I did not use a designer the first time and I had a great experience. I think it really depends on what you are looking to do and how complicated the project is. My space was 7 ft x 7ft and involved 12 frames (both horizontal and vertical), so I feel like for a larger project like this is was definitely worth having an expert to work with.
One other thing I wanted to mention is that we hired someone from Task Rabbit to come hang the gallery wall for us because neither Kevin or I are very handy (he’s going to hate me for saying this). I wanted to make sure that everything was hung perfect since we put a lot into the design and its a big focal point in our house. For our smaller master bedroom gallery wall we were able to hang it on our own with no problem. I am going to list the frame info and sizing info below and if you have any other questions don’t hesitate to reach out!
Framebridge was also kind enough to offer my followers 15% off their order with code jenweatherall15
