Happy Monday friends! I am still in Park City with my family and it has been the best trip! Since I can’t snowboard due to being pregnant, I have had a lot of time to relax and plan some fun content for 2019! Speaking of the New Year, I know a lot of you probably have fitness resolutions, so I wanted to share my current routine along with a roundup of some of my favorite gear at different price points! I don’t know about you, but having cute workout clothes makes me much more motivated to workout!
Here is what I do for my workouts currently. I haven’t changed much since finding out I was pregnant since my Dr. said to keep up with any activity that I was used to doing. If anything I have just been taking my workouts a bit easier and not worrying so much about finishing at the top of the class etc.
2 x week: I take a spin class at Rush Cycle. Typically once during the week and once on Saturday or Sunday morning. I love spin classes because they are a great way to get my cardio in and these classes have great music and energy. They are only 45 minutes and I typically burn about 500 calories in each class.
1 x week: I love taking a slow flow yoga class for a couple reasons. First, it is a great way to clear your mind and reset your intentions for the week. Second, it is a great way to stretch and helps with flexibility. A couple weeks ago I tried a prenatal yoga class and loved it! If you are pregnant I would highly recommend taking one!
Days in between classes: We have a small workout area in our garage and on the days I don’t take a workout class I like to do a quick 20 min workout with 5lb weights and resistance bands. You can also do these workouts in your living room while you watch TV, or really anywhere! Here are the exact items that I use:
Here are a few workouts that I like to follow from the Tone It Up girls:
Here is a new pregnancy workout I am planning to try!
My biggest pice of advice is to find a workout routine or class that you love! I have tried so many different workouts in the past that I dreaded going to and overtime I just stopped going. I look forward to my yoga and spin classes and that is why I have been consistent with my routine! I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!
