Happy Monday mamas! I included the mamaRoo infant seat in my Most Used Baby Products blog post about a month ago and received a lot of questions asking if it is worth the money. I wanted to put together an honest review of the product now that we have used it for about three months.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the mamaRoo, it is an infant seat that is designed to replicate the natural motions of parents. There are five different motions and speeds that can be controlled from the seat itself or from an app on your phone. You can even play your own music from it which is amazing! Wyatt’s favorite motion is the “car ride,” which doesn’t surprise me at all because he loves being in the car and falls asleep every time we go somewhere. Some other motions include the “kangaroo,” “tree swing,” “rock-a-bye,” and “wave.”
I wanted to chat about a few of my favorite features of the product. First, I love how modern and sleek it looks. I am pretty OCD, especially with the way my house looks, and I can totally keep this in the corner of our living room without feeling like there is an eye sore. Second, I love how the seat can be reclined or upright. If I want Wayatt to take a nap I like to recline it so he is laying down. If I am doing stuff around the house and just want to keep him entertained I will put it upright so he can look around and see what I am doing. Lastly, I love how the fabric can zip off and be put in the washing machine. There have been several times where Wyatt has spit up and it was super easy to clean!
Now I want to get to the number one question, is it worth the money? In my opinion, it is definitely worth it! This seat is very tech savvy and I love all the different motion and speed combinations. The fact that I can keep this out and not mind the way that it looks is also a huge plus for me! The only feedback that I have is that the mobile up top doesn’t move. If I want to distract Wyatt I need to go up and spin the mobile, so it would be nice if it could do it on it’s own. Other that that we have been extremely happy with it and it is a product that we use on a daily basis in our house!
